Apparently, we're having a boy!

Ever since I found out that I was pregnant, Maryn has been convinced that we're having a boy...I don't know if it is because she has had a few friends who have recently added baby boys to their families. Every night, in her prayers, she prays, "please help this little guy grow strong like my dad and come out of momma's tummy..."

A couple of days ago we were at the park and there was a boy there who Maryn was playing with and his mom was pregnant and having a girl. Maryn sounded a little envious and then told him infatically that her mom is having a boy!

Oh well, I would rather have it this way round because I think that if we ended up having a girl, she would be delighted but is fine with having a boy.

The other night, Eric arrived home to find two attention deprived children and for some reason, he decided to dress them up like little Indians (like Peter Pan). Maryn was Tigerlily and Caleb was just an Indian--but a wild one.

Ironic Update

Well, considering one of my recent posts, this is quite ironic. We found out a few days ago that we're expecting our third! You might wonder why I'm telling everyone so quickly...the fact is that I'm only 5 weeks along and I've already been sick for a week solid...hence, it's not easy to hide!

So, questions that you might be thinking of....are you crazy? Do you remember your last pregnancies? Are you a glutton for punishment? Did you want to have another one? Yes to all of the above....except for the glutton for punishment. I admit my pregnancies are torture but the end result far out-weighs the misery. Plus, for those of you who have in the past watched me on my death bed, there is a difference with this one...WE ACTUALLY HAVE INSURANCE THAT WILL COVER MY NECESSARY CARE!!! YAY! Infact, my doctor already hooked me up with the necessary meds which in the past cost me $50 per pill and yesterday we went to pick up a pack of 30 and paid $0.00. That ranked up in one of the best moments of my life!

So, all I have to say is bring on October...does that seem as far away to you as it does to me?

The Big Day - "Ballallet"

Today was a long awaited day for Maryn....she started her ballet classes! This has been a really big event for her. She is not in Preschool right now and so this has really been something she's been looking forward to and counting down. And I'm pleased to say that it lived up to all the hype and she had a wonderful time and came home determined to teach her dad and Caleb ballet too. These little girls were so adorable!

I laughed at some of our conversation on the way home...the heating was just getting going so the dance room and floor was quite chilly. Maryn said, "Mom, my feet just felt like a blizzard!" Also, you will notice from the pictures that Maryn was one of the only girls without shoes. At this level, they don't need shoes and so I didn't bother to get her any. Anyway, Maryn obviously noticed and said to me on the way home, "Do we just don't have any shoes for me?" The way she said it was like she understood that we just don't have money for things like that and she wasn't really asking for shoes she just wanted confirmation of the fact that we just didn't have any for her. Needless to say, I think I might surprise her with some just because she's being such a good sport about it and I don't want her to feel like the little orphan in the class with no shoes.

Tonight we had so much fun having the Hatches and the Hones over after months of too much craziness and business to get together....and we really enjoyed being REUNITED (I put that in for you, Ryan)! Anyway, we are thrilled to have little Charlie Hatch here safely-- finally and my kids were absolutely infatuated with him! Both Maryn and Caleb oohed and aaahed over him long after I thought they would have lost interest. Maryn thought she'd died and gone to heaven....

FOOD! Glorious Food!

Yesterday, after reading Rachel's blog, I realized that Maryn didn't even know what a donut was so I made it my goal to inform her. After running our errands, we stopped at Krispy Kreme (the best of the best) where she chose a donut with sprinkles....of course!

She liked it....although I don't think it came close to her opinion on Cheezits!

Anyway.....donuts....check!

Also, I am not much of a fast food/pizza person....only on rare occasions but I love a homemade hamburger and pizza....and I load them up with veggies!!! I love it and it's the only way Maryn will eat pizza.

It was only a matter of time before I was tagged....

This being tagged thing has made me seriously reflect of my lack of being interesting....I was awake all night trying to think of cool things about myself that nobody knows and really didn't come up with much....however, I've come to the conclusion that I just talk too much leaving very little mystery so I apologize for my loud obnoxious ways...anyway, on with the tag....

2. Fruit (Despite what I said above, I LOVE fruit)
3. Leftovers (I'm really not much of a snacky person...i usually would pick healthy food over most snack items)
4. Chocolate covered almonds
5. Fruit snacks

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
First, I would drop dead!! But if I really somehow got a large sum of money, I would pay off school debt, buy a house and car (seems unfathomable right now!), and take my children home to South Africa to meet my grandparents...after that, I would use the rest to get further in Eric's and my own schooling....like my masters and they the rest for missions and college for the kids!

(This became particularly embarrasing in high school when boys used tickling as a way to flirt....needless to say, they scored no points with me...only a couple of black eyes)
