there is something quite painful about your baby turning two but also something very exciting. this little rules the world around here. we love him to bits and pieces!! we bought him a rather expensive present for his birthday (a strider bike) and so opted out of a traditional birthday party and just went with the good ol' family get together! he got a little shy being in the lime light but has since taken to saying "happy birthday, mom" to me about 20 times a day as if it's a courteous greeting of some sort. the balloons really made his birthday though. he loved those. here's a little from the party...

this little boy is completely delicious! not only is he ridiculously handsome, but he has a personality the size of texas! he is the biggest tease i've ever met. he's understood how to tease pretty much since he could roll over. nowdays, he's running a hundred miles an hour. throwing tantrums like it's nobody's business and loving us till we're week in the knees. he is a communicator, a clown, and a real spaz sometimes. he has taken to calling me "hunny." he is also a pro at the old "high pive! down low! too slow!" trick. get's us every time. and as every well adjusted toddler in the world, there is nothing he can't do! in short, we really adore this little guy. he rounds out our family so beautifully!
