premie-to-be

2009 05 31 001 2009 05 31 002 2009 05 31 003

on sunday, we were having lunch with the fam and i walked past my sister-in-law jewel (30 weeks with child), who had her legs up for a while on the couch. and i have to be honest, i gasped!  her legs and feet were so swollen.  i'm talking about looking like she was about 250 lbs.... and she is teeny! she has been battling the edema for a while now....and her blood pressure has been insanely high.  shocked, my mom came and took a look and said that she really needed to get in to see the doctor.

so anyway, i'm sure being nudged by the spirit, my mom called yesterday and just urged her that she really needed to get in to the doctor.  so she went and they rushed her into hospital.  she has toxemia/preeclampsia really badly--she was on the verge of having a stroke!!! as well as seizures!  but they need to deliver this little bundle soon! as in now. they are just trying to get her through until tomorrow for the steriod shots to help this little baby's lungs. they will do a c-section tomorrow (the baby is breech) oh, my heart is aching for them as i remember roy-d and jewel sitting on the couch two days ago longing for this pregnancy to be over.  and now i am sure they would give anything to have this little one bake a little longer!

so i ask you to take a minute to say a little prayer for them.

oh no! My cousin had to have her twins delivered because of this and she was sick for several days afterward. It's scary stuff, but oh so good that you smart women made her go in. Thinking of your family, S.

Sounds like the Spirit was involved in helping this sweet baby get here safely. The steroid works wonders. I had my little guy at 33 weeks--(I know there is a huge difference between 30 weeks and 33 weeks) and he had no complications with his lungs. Good luck!

They are all three in my thoughts and prayers. When we went through this with Hunter prayer is the only thig that got me through it. Now he's a perfect two year old. I guess i should say as perfect as a two year old can be.

I KNOW the power of prayer, and we as a family have been blessed by it in the last few weeks. I will stop and pray for them right now!
