mostly, i just want to say today how grateful i am. i am a truly blessed woman. i have a wonderful husband and beautiful children all of whom, i truly and whole-heartedly adore. i am blessed to have the gospel of jesus christ in my life. i am blessed to know that i am his sister and a daughter of the most high and i know that they love me and are aware of me.
life gets busy and often is crazy. sometimes i get so caught up in my day to day rampages of problem solving that i forget to be still and remember the simple goodness that surrounds me. last week, brother perry so beautifully sang the hymn, "come unto jesus". now, i have the hardest time pinpointing any favorite hymn or piece of music but this hymn has struck me so deeply. as i listened, i felt that if i could keep these words in my heart and memory always, i would never lose sight. it was a reminder that we all walk together on this path to find christ. to find love which is jesus christ. we all have sorrows and joy. and we need to take the light that we find and share it.
"oh, know you not that angels are near you...." these angels seen and unseen. i believe my husband and children are some of these angels. family. friends. and strangers. i also know that there are those who walk with me unseen. i know that they sorrow and rejoice with me, guide me and protect me. they know my name. they know my mission here and are here to love and accompany me.
so amidst this time of being all over the place. running after kids, running errands, teaching music, taking photos, fixing up the house, landscaping the backyard, preparing meals, wiping bottoms, readying stories, and tucking in and kisses as well as occasions of complaining about frivolous things in my life a little too much.... i just want to say that i am grateful. for all of it. i wouldn't change it for anything. this is my path and i know it.
