my boys

i took some pics of the boys while they were just monkeying around in my room.

lets talk about caleb for a minute....

his latest uniform is this....

he wears his helmet (backwards most of the time) 24-7
he wears his backpack (with a car in each pocket) 24-7
i'm sure that people must think that i am an interesting driver with my helmet-wearing child in the back seat. and the helmet did come in handy yesterday as he plummeted off the top bunk just do dust himself off and move on. the truth is...i love it! i'm not the mom who makes her kids take the helmet off or change their mismatched clothes. i love the pride they have in dressing themselves and creating their own style. sure, we look like a circus most days, but isn't that a pretty accurate portrayal of our life?

my sister, maiya, recently developed a severe case of arachnophobia. so they come running inside the other day screaming for somebody to come and kill a spider.
bryn: caleb, why don't you kill it?
caleb: but i ca--.......(an idea dawning on his face).....(pounding is fist and foot)....YES! I CAN!!!

and then he was out the door like a shot!!!

later that night, we were getting ready to go home. caleb gets really upset when he can't find his shoes. he was on the verge of a melt down when eric asked him where he last saw his shoes. his response, "on my feet!"

then there is this little man....
he is into everything!!!
on the verge of walking....
i love his little personality--quite the tease and has a little mischievous side....
he LOVES to dance and talks all day long.
